Dr. Sami Khaldieh
Optometrist
Dr. Sami was born and raised in this community, and he’s proud to now care for the families he grew up around. After completing his undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, he went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. A dreamer and a visionary, Dr. Sami is on a mission to elevate the standard of eye care nationwide. He believes patients deserve more, and his approach reflects that belief—providing the same level of dedication whether he’s caring for a newborn, a working parent, or a veteran. His unique experiences at a VA hospital, combined with his own journey into fatherhood, give him an unmatched ability to connect with patients across every stage of life.
Dr. Sami is among the select few practitioners to earn the rigorous International Academy Certification in Myopia Management (IACMM), a distinction that reflects his deep knowledge and commitment to safeguarding long-term vision health. But what patients often remember most is not just his expertise, but his warmth. He loves to connect with people on a personal level, and once they experience his care, they rarely want to see anyone else.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Sami enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He’s a devoted foodie, always hunting down the best local meals, and a passionate college basketball fan—especially when it comes to cheering on his VCU Rams.
Dr. Rami Khaldieh

Dr. Rami has demonstrated academic excellence and a deep commitment to service throughout every stage of his education.
During his undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech, Dr. Rami earned a 4.0 GPA and was consistently recognized for his achievements through numerous academic scholarships. He served as a teaching assistant and tutor, supporting fellow students across multiple subjects, and graduated summa cum laude with repeated honors on the Dean’s List.
In Optometry school at The Ohio State University, Dr. Rami was awarded the highly competitive and prestigious HOYA scholarship, recognizing both his academic standing and future potential in the field. He continued to mentor peers through tutoring and further distinguished himself through volunteer work with Remote Area Medical (RAM), where he began before dawn to provide over 12 hours of care to underserved patients—an effort he repeated for two consecutive years.
Today, that same passion for learning and teaching is at the heart of his patient care. Patients often remark on his ability to break down complex concepts with clarity, patience, and empathy—making them feel truly seen, heard, and informed. This gift for communication, shaped by years of tutoring and teaching, helps patients feel confident in their care and empowered in their decisions. It’s not just clinical excellence—it’s a commitment to making every patient experience clear, comfortable, and personal.
Secretly, Dr. Rami is most known for his famous smoked briskets, which he cooks for 16 hours.
Dr. Alexa Vinh

Dr. Vinh grew up in Amherst, Ohio, and earned academic scholarships while completing her undergraduate degree at Cleveland State University. She went on to graduate with high distinction from The Ohio State University College of Optometry, one of the top programs in the nation.
Dr. Vinh is known by patients and colleagues alike as an extraordinary clinician who combines sharp diagnostic skills with genuine warmth and empathy. She has a remarkable talent for identifying and treating complex conditions, and patients routinely travel far and wide to see her. Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr. Vinh is celebrated for her listening skills, emotional intelligence, and ability to connect deeply with people. Every patient leaves her care feeling heard, valued, and uplifted.
Her approachable, quirky personality makes visits both fun and memorable, while her commitment to going above and beyond sets a new standard for patient care. Whether it’s solving a challenging medical case or simply bringing a smile to someone’s face, Dr. Vinh delivers a level of care that is rare and unforgettable.
